HAED MAYNIA WEEK TWO

Week two there was NOT as much progress as I would have liked. I had company and we had a blast going to Board and Brush but my stitching progress was less which was fine. Below are our creations. They came out so good!

The week was also very crazy at work with really long training days, migraines and the need for lots of sleep. But, her face is starting to form and it is LITERALLY the same size as mine. It is insane watching this happen. I worked some on the full black page, but that never seems like I make a dent in it. I'm looking forward to the progress that happens over the next few weeks of this challenge.

HAED MAYNIA WEEK ONE

May is for Maynia. Stitch Maynia that is and this year I'm not doing all the starts and I'm not doing all the WIPS. I am dedicating this month to my HAED. I consider my weeks for this challenge the days in which I work on my HAED to the time I record my videos so for the first week it was only two days of work. So not much was accomplished. However, this is MY week one's progress.

April with the Bang Out Finish

The end of April was overwhelming but a lot was accomplished. I went to the 3 Stitches stitch in night with Tiffany and we got to meet some of you guys. It was so much fun and I can't wait to go again!

That night we both started Strawberry Fields Forever by Blackbird Designs. This pattern was so much fun and the first of six in the Magical Mystery Tour Collection. I cannot wait to do the other 5 patterns on the same fabric that I dyed. An 18 count Aida dyed with tea, blue and grey.

I did make some changes to the colors as shown below.

I love how this piece came together it was a lot of fun and it is not that big coming in around 5" by 7". Another change I made was NOT doing the charted date along the left side of 1992 or the charts initial on the right side. However, I did put the date the song was released inside of the front gate to make it look more like an address. I really love this touch as majority of the patterns in the collection have the date the song came out.

Some other progress I made in the last two weeks of April was on my lunch breaks at work. I was able to finish a small piece that was sent to me in a craft swap by Becca back in 2014. It is so tiny but it has been a WIP for so long! I also made some more work on my Cappa de Fiorri whole stitches. I am almost finished and ready to work on the back stitch come June.

I did get in one final start this month The Cricket Collection the Master and the Macabre. It is a VERY TINY start! Tiffany convinced me to pick up some 40 count fabric. I decided to stitch this piece on it. It is VERY different for me as it is very small. I do like the way it looks but I do not think 40 count will be come a staple for me in the future. Maybe for very select pieces.

My friend from work Paul wanted to be included in my blog post so we took a selfie together. He is fun I really enjoy our banter we have at work together.
