March Music Playlist

Something that I LOVE is music. It helps us get through rough times or celebrate. And, while I have around 60 GB on my computer of music I keep a current playlist on my phone. Click the link below to see music videos for the songs I'm obsessed with for the month of March, which is the February list with a few add ons. The added songs are listed in this blog post since I didn't delete anything! The search tag for these posts will be "Playlist" so they will always be easy to find. I hope you enjoy. Let me know if any of these are also some of your current favorites!

When the Stitch Gods Decide

So far this month I have just been super busy and had a little more joint pain from the Vitamin D crap... YEY. But, a real YEY moment is that I have another FFO. I put my Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery's Give Thanks in a trivet shaped like a turkey. How perfect! I love how this came out. It was my first trivet find and finish and my first time lacing!

I worked more on my Lizzie Kate's Wouldn't Like Be Great, but I put it down because I realized I would run out of the Gentle Arts Maple Syrup thread with half of the pattern to go. I was going to go on the hunt but the super sweet @Tiffinstitches picked some up from 3 Stitches for me and brought it to the Houston Rodeo where we met and got to hang out. Sadly we didn't get to get a photo together, but I am really excited to get this back out soon!

When I put up the other I started one of my new Nashville Market patterns; Hands on Design's Part One from The Laundry Company. I changed the colors to fit my houses style (color changes will come when I'm finished). I got a third of the way through and realized the height of the fabric was WRONG on the tag and that I wouldn't have enough room to finish. So the stitching God's decided I needed to do this project on a totally different color. Sucked but I honestly LOVE the outcome so it was for the best!

Here is the new fabric and colors. I will list them when I finish the design! But, how LUSH is this!

Over the last weekend I went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo with two of my favorite people to see Cody Johnson! And, as previously stated I got to meet and hang out with @Tiffinstitches!

Then Monday I got to see one of my bestie get married to the love of her life. It's been a great first half of March. Not enough stitching but I think I'm getting good progress regardless! Until next time guys!

FFO'ed in February

February I FFOed several projects. I LOVE how they all turned out. Enjoy!

February Finale

February has been crazy for me. Stitching has kept me centered! I’ve finished a few pieces and FFOed older pieces so I’m glad it was also very productive!

This last week I finished Little House Needleworks Embroidery Guild pattern and I LOVED working on it! I made three color changes and did not do the eyes that were called for. The other change I made was changing the year to 2008, as that is the year that I joined my embroidery bee.

Color Changes I made.

Once that pattern was finished I just had to start on Lizzie Kate Wouldn’t Life Be Great. I am in LOVE with this pattern. I picked a simple blue Belgium Linen I had in my stash and I pulled a ton of fancy floss colors I had in my stash as well. Nothing is a called for color and I will be adding two additional colors to customize the piece further. It has been so fun to work on so please enjoy the in progress photos!

Colors from left to right:
GASTs - Gold Leaf, Forest Glade, Flax, Maple Syrup, Red Grape, Shutter Green
Weeks - Pelican Gray & Teal Frost

Potter is doing much better thank you all for keeping him in your prayers.
